Gormley is 24 and a former 13th overall pick, Rundblad is 25 and a former 17th overall pick. Nice picking guys like that up for free with no risk.

Actually Rundblad and Zidlicky's numbers haven't been horrible in terms of defense... Zidlicky still pretty good for a 3-4 d. Makes mistakes but he's actually better defensively than when NJ first traded for him.

I like Zids but he's 39 and I think he struggled with the Islanders last year. I'd rather gamble with the kids, but a PTO is really no risk.

Yeah that sounds crazy... But heard that too.

Honestly really miss having a dominate defense. Love Andy Greene but wish we had more help for him. We played decently last year but it was more survival then control... You know.

I think Santini will eventually be a monster but we need a stud to transform this squad.

I don't understand the reason to get Shattenkirk, not that it would happen. I would go after Manson for Anaheim, he's a RSD, and Fowler he's a LSD. Would fill the D this year and could give Santini some time.

Would actually prefer Theodore or Lindholm over Fowler though. All three are LSD.

No way. He played half of last year in the AHL.
